[ARCHIVED] WAWB - Weirton Water Notice Update (2/7/25)

wtr 6 (1)

Weirton Water Customer Notice

Date: February 7, 2025

The Weirton Area Water Board (the “Board”) provides the following update relating to the City of Weirton water issues:

We are pleased to report that water supplies, pressure, and flow volumes have generally normalized across the City of Weirton, including at local schools. Our dedicated employees continue to locate and repair water line breaks as they are found or arise. As a result, residents and businesses may still experience intermittent fluctuations in water pressure as repairs continue, and boil orders may be necessary for streets directly affected by water line breaks.

Within the past few days, the Water Department has notified the public that the city-wide boil order and distribution of free bottled water and non-potable water for flushing toilets, laundry, etc. have been discontinued. Unfortunately, the city-wide mandatory conservation order will continue for another ten days or so.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation during this time. Further updates will be provided as necessary.
