The City of Weirton is excited to announce that on April 11, 2024 the long-awaited groundbreaking of Weirton’s Wastewater Treatment Plant took place. This multimillion-dollar expansion project represents the City’s continued commitment to foster growth and change in Weirton.
Thank you to the many individuals who worked unwaveringly to make the expansion a reality. Without the collaboration of the Weirton Sanitary Board, Weirton City Council, and federal, state, and local
officials, the expansion would not have come to fruition.
