Friday, February 24, 2023, marked a significant economic development milestone for Weirton with the official signing of House Bill 2882 by West Virginia Governor Jim Justice. Why is the signing of House Bill 2882 significant for our City and its economic development? Because $105 million has been designated from this Bill for the construction of Form Energy’s first American battery manufacturing plant here in Weirton, WV.
