The City of Weirton Administrative Offices will be closed on Thursday, November 24, and Friday, November 25, 2022, in celebration of Thanksgiving. The Public Works and Weirton Transit schedules are as follows:
- Public Works – Offices will be closed on Thanksgiving, November 24. Collection of garbage and recyclables will run one day late on Thursday and Friday. Those normally picked up on Thursday will be picked up on Friday. Those normally picked up on Friday will be picked up on Saturday.
- Weirton Transit Corporation – Offices are closed on November 24 and November 25, 2022. There will not be transit services on Thanksgiving, November 24. They will be operating on their Saturday Loop Schedule on Friday, November 25. Demand service will be on a limited basis. They will resume their regular scheduled routes on Monday, November 28, 2022.
