Striplight Theatre is pleased to announce its October 13-16 production of the 1944 Tennessee Williams play, "The Glass Menagerie."

"The Glass Menagerie" is a play about memory, primarily the memories of Tom Wingfield (Jeffrey Holmes) who returns to the home of his youth, now more desolate and deserted than when he lived there.

He recalls his mother, Amanda (Nancy Longo), and her stubborn refusal to let go of her past as a Southern belle basking in the glow of wealth and luxury.

He recalls his sister, Laura (Gretchen Carter), lost in a world of her own creation, a world populated by glass figurines, a menagerie of animals that gave her respite from our world, the one where she always seemed out of place.

He recalls the Gentleman Caller, Jim O'Connor (Chris Carter), the emissary of reality who seemed, for a fleeting moment, to be the answer to all of their problems.

And he recalls why he left it all behind to follow in the footsteps of his father, a telephone man who fell in love with long distances.

Striplight Theatre would like to invite you to our staging of this American classic.

Tickets can be purchased by calling (800) 838-3006 or by visiting striplightmenagerie.bpt.me. Admission is $15 for Adults and $12 for Seniors and Students.

We offer special rates for groups of 10 or more. Please email info@striplighttheatre.com for more information.

We hope you'll join us in October as we shine together to light up the stage.
