[ARCHIVED] Press Release - Property Maintenance and Parking Ordinances

press release today (1)

Based upon recent adjustments to City policies regarding property maintenance and parking ordinances, the City of Weirton hereby notifies the public that inoperable, unregistered, or improperly licensed vehicles in violation of City parking, storage, or property maintenance ordinances will be cited or towed from City streets, alleys and yards as the law allows beginning August 1, 2025.  The City provides this notice in the interest of allowing residents with vehicles which may fall under these rules have the opportunity to move or put such vehicles in compliance so as to avoid the expenses associated with vehicle impoundment. In addition, our Code Enforcement employees will be tasked with monitoring their assigned council wards for environmental issues such as high grass, trash, and debris.

Questions concerning this matter should be directed to the Inspections Office at (304) 797-8500, Ext. 1005.
