The Weirton Ecumenical Council held their annual Juneteenth Celebration today, June 21 to commemorate the end of slavery in the United States. Mayor Dean M. Harris presented the Weirton Ecumenical Council with a proclamation in appreciation of their efforts to share African American history and heritage with our community.
