Today, on National Peace Officers' Memorial Day and during National Police Week, law enforcement officers were honored and remembered at the Police Memorial that is
held annually in front of the Weirton Municipal Building.
A special touch was added to this year's ceremony with the unveiling of Weirton Police Department's K9 Memorial Statute in memory of Weirton's K9 Officers.
