Mayor Dean Harris recognized Maria Sikora for earning the prestigious Silver Award in Girl Scouts for her work on the walking path at Saint Thomas Church’s Memorial Garden. This award required 50 hours of community service toward a specific, sustainable project in the community. Maria worked over 50 hours on the walking path by removing all the walkway’s  pavers; removing underlining roots pushing the pavers up; rerouting a drain; replacing the pavers; and hosting fundraisers to support the project’s cost.
Congratulations Maria for your hard work  in completing the project that will be a benefit to all that visit the Saint Thomas Church and our community. Your dedication and leadership skills will take you far in this world!
