George E. Ash, Sr. has dedicated his life to the City of Weirton for more than 30 years by serving as the City's Ward IV Councilman and on various boards such as the Brooke and Hancock County Veterans Memorial Park, Building Enforcement Agency, Urban Renewal Authority, Weirton Area Water Board, Hancock County Sheltered Workshop, and the Hancock County Savings Bank Charitable Foundation.
In recognition of George's dedication to City of Weirton, the alleyway immediately behind
3125 Orchard Street was dedicated as
"George E. Ash, Sr. Way."
