[ARCHIVED] WMCC to open for regular weekday hours

WEIRTON — The Weriton Millsop Community Center (WMCC) will be open tomorrow, Thursday, January 2 for regular hours of business but will continue to observe water conservation guidelines.

WMCC will be open 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays as scheduled as long the City of Weirton water system continues steady recovery from a citywide water crisis.

During open hours, restrooms will be available on a limited basis and showers, water fountains and steam rooms will remain out of service.

Only restrooms on the second level of WMCC will be open.

Patrons visiting WMCC must shower at home and are encouraged to bring a full water bottle as showers and water fountains will not be available.

Although steadily recovering, the City of Weirton remains under a water conservation order and administrators encourage all residents and businesses to implement water conserving practices.

WMCC may operate on restricted hours during the weekend.

For more information on hours and availability of facilities, please visit the WMCC Facebook page, call the WMCC customer service desk at (304) 797-8520 during open hours, or visit the Park Board's official webpage.
