The City of Weirton Administrative Offices will be closed on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, and Wednesday, January 1, 2025 in celebration of New Years. The Public Works and Weirton Transit schedules are as follows:
Public Works – Offices will be closed on December 31 and January 1. Changes to the collection of garbage and recyclables schedule are as follows:
Monday, December 30, 2024 – Regular collection day as normal
Tuesday, December 31, 2024 – Regular collection day as normal
Wednesday, January 1, 2025 – Will be picked up on Thursday, January 2, 2025
Thursday, January 2, 2025 – Will be picked up on Friday, January 3, 2025
Friday, January 3, 2025 – Will be picked up on Saturday, January 4, 2025

Weirton Transit – Offices will be closed on December 31 and January 1. The Saturday route schedule will run on New Years Eve, December 31. No routes will run on New Years Day, January 1.
