The City of Weirton Administrative Offices will be closed at Noon on Wednesday, November 27 and all day Thursday, November 28, and Friday, November 29, 2024, in celebration of Thanksgiving. The Public Works and Weirton Transit schedules are as follows:

Public Works – Offices will be closed on November 28 and November 29.  Collection of garbage and recyclables will run one day late.  Those normally picked up on Thursday will be picked up on Friday.  Those normally picked up on Friday will be picked up on Saturday.  Questions concerning garbage collection should be directed to the Public Works Department at (304) 797-8500, Ext. 3002/3003.

Weirton Transit – Offices are closed and no routes will run on November 28 and November 29.  Questions concerning the Weirton Transit should be directed to the Weirton Transit at (304) 797-8500, Ext. 1023.
