Please join us at this new event: Weirton Safety & Resource Fair, Saturday, September 28th, 12-2 p.m. at the Weirton Event Center. This event will showcase the City of Weirton’s Fire and Police Department with a “Touch a Truck/Car” event. It will also be an opportunity to learn more about the Weirton Fire Department’s CARE program. CARE stands for Children and Resident Encounters Program.
The event is open to everyone, but we want to encourage all individuals with special
needs and seniors to come to this special event to learn more about how to prepare for emergencies. I’m attaching a flyer that you can share in your community.
We are currently seeking vendors who work with or provide services to individuals with special needs and or older adults. There is no fee for vendors, but you are required to provide your own table, chairs and canopies. Vendors are encouraged to provide an activity for the participants. Organizations and individuals interested in setting up a booth, please let me know by September 4th.
We plan on providing food and drinks, along with some fun activities for all.
