The Weirton Disability Independence Celebration in kick-off event at the Mary H. Weir Library was a great way to begin the weeklong celebration. Many attended to hear from local organizations, Mary H. Weir Library, the Disability Independence Celebration Committee, and Keynote Speaker John Jackson who is a retired specialist from the National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled division of the Library of Congress.
Thank you Rik Rekowski, Rachel Keeney, Molly
Mossor, Mary H. Weir Library, and the Top of WV CVB and Arts Council for working together to showcase educational material and artwork that highlights those living with disabilities.
