Workers' Memorial Day will be observed nationally on April 28, 2024 to honor those who lost their lives while on the job.
Many individuals gathered on April 25, 2024 with United Steelworkers Local 2911 and Cleveland Cliffs - Weirton to observe Workers’ Memorial Day and to pay tribute to the steelworkers whose lives were lost while working at the mill in Weirton.
As we remember the fallen steelworkers and the thousands of workers whose lives are taken annually while on the job, let us
also strive to bring awareness on the importance of workplace safety.
