Weirton Ride is accessible to persons with disabilities. Buses and vans are equipped with wheelchair lifts or ramps that enable persons in wheelchairs or who cannot navigate steps to ride. Buses have priority seating for persons with disabilities. Operators are trained to assist riders use lifts and ramps, secure wheelchairs, provide information on destinations, and announce stops, including any stop you request. You may travel with your respirator, concentrator, and portable oxygen. Service animals are welcome onboard buses and vans and in our facilities, but they must be under the control of the passenger at all times. Public information is available in alternative accessible formats upon request. To request information in alternative accessible formats, please call us at (304) 797-8597. For your safety and the safety of other passengers, we will secure your wheelchair.

Reasonable Modification Policy

Passengers with disabilities may request modifications to our service or procedures to help them access the service. To make a request, please call us at 304-797-8597. Please submit requests at least the day before your trip, and no more than two weeks before your trip. Weirton Ride will not charge additional fees for passengers requiring reasonable modifications.

ADA Complaints

If you have a complaint about the accessibility of our service or believe you have been discriminated against because of your disability, you can file a complaint. Complaints must be submitted to us in writing. A written response from Weirton Transit will be forwarded to you within ten days working days. Please use the Weirton Transit ADA Complaint Form (PDF).
