Two canines from the Weirton Police Canine Unit have retired - Lieutenant Troy Bicker’s partner Tygo and Lieutenant Matt Lelless’s partner Shay. Mayor Harold E. Miller, Police Chief Charlie Kush, and Police Deputy Chief Scott Cook recognized Lieutenant Bickers and Lieutenant Lelless for their dedication to the Canine Unit.
