On Tuesday, December 12, 2017, the Weirton Transit Corporation added three new buses to their fleet. The additional buses are part of Weirton Transit's ongoing efforts in expanding their services. Weirton Transit also announced that with the new buses comes the possibility of hiring part-time drivers. City Manager Travis Blosser stated, “This is a great day for transit in the city of Weirton.”
