[ARCHIVED] Weirton Light Up Night®

Weirton is a city of many proud heritages and cultures with traditional customs to honor and new traditions to begin.

On Saturday, November 18, 2017, Mayor Harold E. Miller will host the second annual lighting of the Weirton Community Christmas Tree, the revival of a decades old ceremony.   The Weirton Light Up Night®, to take place at the intersection of Main Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, will begin at 6:00 p.m. with the welcome by Mayor Miller and the unveiling of the Success in Unity Ornament. Reverend Father Dennis R. Schuelkens will give a blessing prior to the official lighting of the tree, and a special fireworks display will take place. 

Iannetti’s Garden Center has donated the Community Christmas Tree once again, which is dedicated to the memory of Nick Iannetti this year.  ArcelorMittal continues to graciously allow the use of their piece of property at this intersection corner
