CITY OF WEIRTON, TRANSIT, AND PUBLIC WORKS THANKSGIVING HOURS 2023

The City of Weirton Administrative Offices will be closed on Thursday, November 23, and Friday, November 24, 2023, in celebration of Thanksgiving. The Public Works and Weirton Transit schedules are as follows:

• Public Works – Offices will be closed on Thanksgiving, November 23. Collection of garbage and recyclables will run one day late. Those normally picked up on Thursday will be picked up on Friday. Those normally picked up on Friday will be picked up on Saturday.
• Weirton Transit Corporation – Offices are closed on November 23 and November 24. There will be no transit services on Thanksgiving, November 23. On Friday, November 24, Demand Service will be from 6:00am to noon and Regular Route Service from 7:00am to noon. Demand service will be on a limited basis. Regularly scheduled routes will resume on Monday, November 27, 2023.
