On the above date during the time range referenced above there will be demolition activity performed on the Former Arcelor Mittal BOP Scrubber Facility.

The Frontier team is using dust Emulsifier to spray down the structure before demo to minimize dust and particles being released into the atmosphere.

Police will be controlling traffic throughout the area positioned at Pennsylvania Ave and Route 2 (Main Street Bridge) and Gate 4 of Arcelor Mittal to prohibit unauthorized access to the work area and for general public safety.

Area residents will be receiving community 911 Swift Alert system messages from the City of Weirton and the Fire Department through your home telephone in the days leading up to the demolition activity including an alert when the demolition activity is completed, and traffic is returned to normal.

Please note, the demolition activity does not include the use of explosives. The work is “mechanical demolition” only (no explosives).
